Le «Groupe d’Etude des Interactions Molécules-Membranes» ou GEIMM a été fondé en 1987. C’est un groupe thématique de la Société Française de Biophysique (SFB) depuis 2001. Il a été déclaré en Association à la Préfecture du Rhône en septembre 2011 sous l’intitulé «Groupe d’Etude des Membranes » ou GEM. L’Association GEM (gem@univ-lyon1.fr) est une société savante qui a pour but de fédérer, au niveau national, les activités relatives à l’étude des membranes biologiques sous tous leurs aspects. Elle reste groupe thématique de la SFB. 

The "group of molecules-membranes interactions study" or GEIMM was founded in1987. It is a theme group of the French Society of Biophysics (SFB) since 2001. It has been reported at the Rhône prefecture in September 2011 as an association  entitled "study group of membranes" or GEM. The GEM association (gem@univ-lyon1.fr) is a learned society which aims to federate, at the national level, activities related to the study of biological membranes in all their aspects. It remains part of SFB.

Le Congrès GEM XV se déroulera à Paris du 2 au 4 Avril 2012 au FIAP Jean MONNET

The XVth edition of GEM congress will take place in Paris from April 2nd to 4th 2012 at FIAP Jean MONNET center.
